Joe Zavala's Story
Joe has been around barbecue his entire life. Some of his greatest childhood memories are centered on watching and helping his Pops cook. Weekends at the Zavala house always meant family, friends, and amazing barbecue! Like Joe's Pops, he has carried forward this tradition in his own home working to craft his own unique style. Because of Joe's passion for barbecue, combined with a lifelong dream of running his own taco stand, he started Zavala’s Barbecue!
Zavala's BBQ has been around since 2018 and was started by Joe and his wife, Christan. Watch as Joe gives a tour of his smokehouse and gives some tips on all things BBQ and brisket. We met Joe a couple years back when we designed his logo for his famous "Sloppy Juan Sauce." Since then we have helped with his merchandise and have been regulars at Zavala's BBQ in Grand Prairie!
We now sell Joe's "Sloppy Juan's BBQ Sauce" at our TWT Flagship Store in Frisco! The label is hand-drawn by Tumbleweed TexStyles and Jeb Matulich! Hurry up and make it to our store to pick up some sauce before it's gone.
