National Breast Cancer Foundation
Tumbleweed TexStyles has partnered with National Breast Cancer Foundation during October to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, a percentage of proceeds from The Hope Collection will be donated directly to NBCF to help women and their families.
National Breast Cancer Foundation is Helping Women Now, at the exact moment they need it most, so no one will navigate breast cancer alone. Through NBCF’s programs, thousands of women every year are provided with free mammograms and screenings, patient navigators to help navigate the healthcare system, and support services to ease healing. One of those women is Julia.
Julia was 32 weeks pregnant with her first child when she discovered a lump in her breast. She was applying body lotion when she found the lump, something she did nearly every day. Within weeks, she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a scary thing to hear for anyone, but especially for a soon-to-be mother.
A time of joy quickly turned into a time of fear, but NBCF’s Patient Navigation Program was able to give Julia quick access to the treatment she desperately needed to be here for her son.
“Words cannot express my feelings, nor my thanks for all the help,” Julia said. “I appreciate the team's determination in showing me that my life matters to them and that my health is a priority.”

Breast Cancer Awareness Month shines a light on the breast cancer community and reminds patients, survivors, and thrivers, that no matter what we face, we can get through it together.
